Do You Need a Hospitality Degree to Work in Hotel Management?

While a hospitality degree isn’t a requirement for hotel management, it can be beneficial. Many hotel managers begin in entry-level jobs and learn through hands-on experience. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are often key to success in this field.

However, some employers may look for candidates who have taken hotel management courses or earned a degree, as it demonstrates a commitment to understanding the industry in a formal way.
